Young Authors' Competition under way
Everyone has a story - tell us yours.
The 3rd annual Young Authors' Competition invites all pre-school and school-aged children in Pima County to submit an original story.
We are looking for:
- Stories with compelling characters, satisfying development, vivid use of language and distinctive style.
- Stories that affect us, make us feel and think.
- Stories that show a child's distinct point of view.
- Original student-initiated work, not retellings of movies, TV shows, books or any other media.
Download the accompanying entry form for complete rules and information on how to submit your entry. If you are planning to enter via e-mail, get the Word document to fill out. If you're going to enter by postal mail, try the printer-friendly PDF.
The deadline to submit is December 1, 2010.
Awards will be given and finalists recognized at the Tucson Festival of Books March 12-13, 2010.
